My beauty-maven sister, Chantal, recently discovered temporary lip tattoos, a trend I'm totally fascinated by but probably won't try anytime soon! So instead, I asked Chantal to write a guest post about this edgy new lip treatment. Here's her review - and gorgeous photos to illustrate. —BB

A friend of mine recently introduced me to the amazing new idea of temporary lip tattoos. Honestly, my first reaction was, "Why didn't I think of that?!" In my mind, this is brilliant - and the beauty world seems to agree, with magazines, celebs and fashionistas everywhere loving the trend. It's fun, cheap, easy and non-committal.
Violent Lips has an amazing array of fun and sexy lip designs, I picked up a set of the Pink Cheetah, and love them! I'm looking forward to sporting other designs for special nights out. They are super easy to apply (they are just like the temporary tattoos you played with as a child) and in case you need a visual aid, they have a great little video tutorial on their website to walk you through the steps.
Violent Lips lasted a super long time, and then were simple to remove using baby oil. They take a second to get used to, you will be aware that they're there at first, but after a couple of minutes I forgot them and could just enjoy myself.
Now, I love them - but I must warn they are not for the faint of heart. This is still a very new trend, and it turns heads. If you don't want attention, don't put these babies on! But, I do…and they're fabulous! Tons of girls approached me and asked what they are and who makes them.
I highly recommend them, for $14.95 for three pairs you can't afford not to have this much fun with your lips - I'm looking forward to multi-packs (personally I think this is a better way to go than three of a particular style) and Glitterattis, which are all sparkled out! I'm excited by this new trend, and happy with the quality and design selection of Violent Lips.
