Off the Rack: Spring Designer Series Shoes at Payless

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have caught my tweets earlier this week about my love of the designer series shoes at Payless. Christian Siriano's snakeskin wedge sandals and fierce cage heels looked amazing for the price, and Isabel Toledo's eccentric styles were funky and sure to please urban artsy types. But what really made my heart skip a beat were the colorful, preppy-global wedges by Lela Rose. I couldn't decide which pair I loved more, the "Bolivar," a green fabric wedge with woven wedge heel or the "Loreto," a navy fabric wedge with faux leather and wood striped heel. At $49.99 a pair, I decided to wait and think about it before making a purchase.

Have you bought anything from Payless lately?

I just got the "Bolivar" it was an easy choice for me since spring is coming that green is just Beautiful I like the blue too but "bolivar" won me over they are all gone in the payless' in my area luckily I had put mine on hold till I was able to pick them and take my 20% coupon =)

I can't wait to wear them!!!

I am also loving Christian Siriano's black heels you have at the very top in person they look like such a statement shoe the angles on the shoe are fierce I didn't get them just because I wouldn't even know where to wear those too lol

If you have AAA car stuff and show your card you get a discount...it's 10 or 20 percent. Not a ton, but enough to help :-)

I just ordered two pair of flats (BOGO 1/2 off) One from the Lela Rose collection -the tan and blue pictured above and another from the Christian Seriano collection- a red print peep toe flat. My two local stores don't get the designer collections :-(

None of the Payless stores by me get the designer collections either, I have to drive to the mall for that ;-)

i vote for the blue for what it's worth. they just caught my eye first when i was looking at the photos of both of them being modeled by you. the green is spectacular only because of the sole detailing, but the color i don't think looks as nice. and i wonder how the sole will look once it's been worn for a while.

I bought the Bolivar! $50 is pricey for Payless shoes but I do think that the Lela Rose collection is better quality upon close inspection. The green is a great pop of color for spring and the pattern is unique compared to all the "espadrilles" that are popular this time of year.

If you decide to get them, I would suggest the blue one! It looks better on your skin tone :-)

I have yet to see these in person, but how do you guys think about the height of the Bolivar wedge? Decent or very high for like a normal day? How's walking in them?

I'm very conservative with heel heights and I did not think these wedges were too high at all, very walkable. I'm just not sure how comfy they'd be after a couple hours, but walking around Payless they felt very comfy, balanced and easy to walk in!

i looove the navy wedges. I am curious also to Adeline's question. How is walking them?

I was strutting up and down the aisles at Payless with ease, very easy to walk in. However, since the uppers are stiff fabric, I can't predict how they will wear over time, the straps might cut in. Tough to tell without wearing them out.
