Off the Rack: Stacked Crystal Ball Lamps at Pottery Barn

After I wrote this post, I became slightly obsessed with finding the perfect stacked crystal ball lamp.

I had budgeted about $150 for a nice one, but I might spend a tad more to get the one shown here, spotted at Pottery Barn near the Lincoln Center in New York (I was killing time before an event, otherwise I would have bought it right on the spot!). It's $190 for the base, $39 for the shade. It beautiful in person, looks expensive and well made. Unfortunately I can't find it online, so if I do decide to get it, I'll have to go back and look for it in stores. I kinda wanted a metal base, too, so we shall see. No need to rush!

I received a ton of helpful feedback regarding where to find a similar lamp, so if you're looking for one, too, try Ikea, Target, JCPenney, Pier One or T.J. Maxx.

Love the matching floor lamp!

I went to JCP the day you posted the last post and bought their lamp. I found a $10 off coupon online, so the total came out to around $70. Definitely worth the money, well made, and looks nice in person. I definitely like the Pottery Barn version but I didn't want to spend over $100. I checked out the Target one and it's $40 for the base only, shade is another $30-40, fyi. If you're aiming to spend less than $100, I suggest JCP :-)

Ok, after I read your comment, I decided to just order the lamp from JCP, better price and I preferred the metal base. Guess what message I got?!

The item is on backorder - Expected to ship on 03/21/2010

Nooooo! Oh well. I'm going to try my local store this weekend, if they don't have it in stock, I guess I will just order online and wait.

Thanks for the info!!

You can use the JCP website to find out which stores in your area have the lamp in stock ;-)

Also, thanks for sharing these lamps!! I agree with the other readers that I like this "home design" posts!

Bed Bath & Beyond sells a VERY similar lamp for 99. It has great weight to it, and looks well made.

I was hunting for it too! And I saw the ones at JCP and fell in lust! I was sooooooooo close to purchasing them, but I wanted the clear base. When I saw them at Target - I fell in love! I already have the lamp shade (like the picture above from Ikea) so I got 2 lamps for 80 bucks!

**Make sure you hurry up though, I had to go to 2 Targets to get ths lamps.

Hi! I love these lamps & wanted to second the JCP lamps. I received them from my future mother-in-law for Christmas '08 because she knew I had been wanting that style. I have to say that they are GREAT quality and I absolutely love them!! My sister loved them so much that she bought the Target ones (they were easier for her to get than the JCP ones) and while they're nice, I think that the JCP ones looks nicer when compared side by side. Just my 2 cents though, they're all great! And you won't get sick of this style :-)

These lamps are beautiful. I may have to joint the ranks and make these part of my home!

Has anyone checked out Ikea for these? (hehe that's the only store I have up here in Canada!)
