5 Easy and Affordable Summer Outfit Ideas for Moms

I've gotten a couple requests from moms with small children for specific outfit ideas that will keep them looking put together without spending a lot. The challenge? Find clothes that are easy to move around in, easy to keep clean, easy to mix-and-match, appropriate for hot, humid summer weather, figure-flattering and of course, budget-friendly! The solution? 5 outfit ideas that feature a largely neutral color palette, trendy treats from fast-fashion chains, and comfortable shoes that can go the distance. These outfit ideas are meant to inspire, so look for similar items at your favorite stores and be sure to stamp them with your personal touch. And even if you're not a mom, these looks should work for any busy, budget-conscious gal. Which looks would you wear?

Thanks again BB for great outfit ideas for us moms. Your posts are so helpful - I am excited to see if I can pull together some similar outfits with what I already own and maybe add a few of your recommendations. It is so easy to fall into the frumpy mom look so thanks for the cute affordable ideas. One quick questions I know you have the Walmart skinny pants already - are they true to size?
Thanks again -
rachel

Yes I'd say the Walmart pants fit true to size, in fact, I couldn't believe how well they fit considering I ordered them online. And so far, they wash really well, too! I'm wearing them today in fact :-)

well... maybe I take it back - the last one with the khaki skirt and white tennis shoes, not sure I could do that - but the hoodie looks comfy!

You are spot on, Dianna! Wonderful outfits! This is precisely the type of outfits MOTG’s need. I have loads of clients who are Mum’s on the go at some point during the week when they need to wear their casual togs but still look fab. Hopefully some of these formulas will help too:

And actually, these outfits are good for ALL lasses who want to look casual yet put together, not just Mums with kids in tow.
