Inspired By: Givenchy Lace Up Booties
These open-toe lace up booties by Givenchy epitomize the edgy, aggressive overtone in Fall footwear, and cost a staggering $1,195 at Shopbop.com.

While there may be better knock-offs out there, I think these Frenchie Lace Up Booties at Forever 21 are a good way to get this look for less at just $26.80. The zipper closure makes these easy to slip on and off, while the faux croc pattern adds some nice texture.
Dress by Number: Ciara in Black Leather

Ciara wore a sleek black leather jacket and ripped black denim jeans to a charity event called Do Something 101 in New York. Yes, we'll be seeing a lot more black leather and ripped/distressed denim for fall! But the effortless way Ciara wears these trends feels especially right. Here's how to snag her style for less.

Trend Alert: Fringe Vests

The fringe trend is still going strong and now it's showing up on vests, like the one shown here worn by Miley Cyrus. She works this Western-tinged look well, but I'm not sure it's me. Then again, I do own two fringe-embellished bags (shown here and here) so you never know! Here are some affordable ways to get in on this trend (I'm surprised this Juniors Xhiliration Fringe Vest received positive reviews on the site, I thought it looked kinda cheap when I saw it in person):
- Black Wind Blowing Vest, $30, Lulus.com
- Pure Energy Plus Fringed Vest, $19.99, Target.com
- Bisou Bisou Fringe Vest, Was $58; Now $39.99, JCPenney.com
- Decree Fringe Vest, Was $36.00; Now $19.99, JCPenney.com

Dress by Number: Sandra Bullock's Off-Shoulder Evening Look

Sandra Bullock combined an off-shoulder asymmetrical dress with layers of pearl & chain necklaces for a statement-making look at The Proposal premiere. Two bold trends, one hot look! If you love it, Gilt Fuse currently has a Black Halo dress on sale and available in sizes 0-10 for $118 (reg. $345)—but act fast as this sale ends 8/28 at midnight EDT. For a more affordable take on Bullock's LBD, try this Paparazzi Dress in Black by Ark & Co, $48 at Lulus.com instead. See more of my cheap-chic options in the widget below.
