Could you please suggest an outfit appropriate for air travel from the East Coast to Los Angeles? —Megan

Travel in style on a long coast-to-coast flight by layering a cozy jacket over skinny jeans and flats. Add an oversized bag (doubles as a carry-on) and big knit scarf (doubles as a blanket on the flight). Chic shades add the finishing touch to conceal tired eyes.

I am always incredibly cold on airplanes (and at airports), so I need to do lots of layering to get through a flight without freezing -- long-sleeved shirt, sweater, jacket, long pants, boots. This is true for all seasons -- especially for summer, when the air conditioning is crazy!

The studded flats remind me of the ones currently on sale at American Eagle which are available in black or brown for $20.
